OSHA silica standard (29 CFR 1926.1153)

The OSHA silica standard is the federal rule that limits construction workers’ exposure to respirable crystalline silica. It spells out approved dust-control methods for tasks like grinding and cutting concrete. Floor grinders must use water or a vacuum dust collector that meets set efficiency levels. Contractors who grind concrete indoors are expected to follow it.
