Where we do it

Garage floors built for Wisconsin winters

A properly prepped coating or polish turns a stained, dusty garage slab into a floor that shrugs off road salt and wipes clean. We do garage floors across Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties, and we don’t do one-day shortcuts.

Why coat it

Protect the slab from salt, oil and hot tires

Bare concrete soaks up oil, road salt and meltwater, and it sheds dust every time you sweep. A coating or polished surface seals the slab so spills sit on top and wipe up.

The catch is prep. Coatings that go down without grinding are the ones you see peeling under tires a year later. Here’s the honest list.

It’s a good fit if

  • You want a floor that handles road salt, snowmelt and oil drips.
  • You use the garage as a workshop or gym, not just parking.
  • You’d rather mop than pressure-wash: wipe up spills, reseal every [X] years.

The trade-offs

  • Coated floors can be slippery when wet. We add grip texture where you need it [confirm aggregate options].
  • A proper install takes longer than the one-day systems you see advertised.
  • Deep oil stains and failed old coatings have to be ground out first, which adds prep time.

Your options

Finishes that work in garages

All of them start with diamond grinding. What changes is the look, the grip and how much wear you put on the floor.

Epoxy / polyaspartic

A tough, seamless coating in a solid color or with decorative flake. Resists salt, oil and hot-tire pickup.

Epoxy & polyaspartic coatings

Metallic coatings

Swirled, pearlescent epoxy for a show garage. No two floors look the same.

Metallic coatings

Grind & seal / polish

Exposes the stone in your slab and seals it. A clean, modern look with no coating to chip.

Grind & seal / polish

Concrete grinding

Strips old coatings, paint and oil-soaked concrete so the new finish bonds instead of peeling.

FAQ

Garage floor questions

Most garage floors run [$X–$Y per square foot], depending on the system, the slab’s condition and how much repair it needs. You get a written quote after the free estimate.

No, a properly installed coating protects the concrete from salt. Salt and meltwater sit on top and rinse off instead of soaking into the slab.

Because the prep is what makes a coating last. We grind the slab so the coating bonds, which takes longer but holds up [2–3x longer, confirm claim] in a Wisconsin garage.

It can be when wet. We can broadcast flake or add a grip additive to the topcoat to give it more texture.

Most floors are ready for cars [X days] after the final coat. We’ll give you an exact date at the walkthrough.
