Where we do it

Old concrete patios, made new again

A drab, worn patio doesn’t need to be torn out. Staining, resurfacing or a sealed finish can make the slab you have look new and stand up to freeze–thaw. We do patios across Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties.

Why refinish

Refinish the slab instead of replacing it

If your patio is structurally sound, refinishing costs far less than tearing it out and pouring new [confirm comparison]. The right finish adds color, hides wear and seals the surface against water and salt.

Here’s the honest list, so you can decide if it’s right for your patio.

It’s a good fit if

  • Your patio is solid but faded, stained or patchy.
  • You want color or a new look without pouring new concrete.
  • You’re willing to reseal every [X] years to keep it looking good.

The trade-offs

  • Heaved, sunken or badly cracked slabs need repair or replacement first.
  • Outdoor finishes need resealing more often than indoor ones.
  • Sealed concrete can be slick when wet. We add grip where it matters [confirm additive].

Your options

Finishes that work on patios

Outdoor concrete has to handle sun, water and freeze–thaw, so we pick finishes and sealers that are made for it.

Concrete stains & dyes

UV-stable color that soaks into the concrete. Earthy, mottled tones that don’t peel like paint.

Stains & dyes

Grind & seal

We grind the surface to expose the stone and seal it. A clean, natural look that’s easy to hose off.

Grind & seal / polish

Concrete grinding

Removes failed sealers, paint and surface wear so the new finish bonds to sound concrete.

Small cracks, yes. We fill them before finishing, though they may still show slightly. Heaved or sunken sections need repair or replacement first.
