How we do it
Epoxy and polyaspartic floor coatings
Epoxy and polyaspartic coatings create a tough, seamless surface that resists stains, chemicals and heavy wear. We coat garage and basement floors across Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties, prepped right for the Wisconsin climate.

Why coat
A seamless floor that wipes clean
A coating seals the slab under a hard, chemical-resistant surface. Oil, salt and spills sit on top and wipe up. Flake hides imperfections and adds grip.
Polyaspartics also cure fast, so you’re not stuck waiting days to use the space. Here’s the honest list.
It’s a good fit if
- You want a floor that resists oil, salt and chemicals.
- You want to hide stains, patches and an uneven-looking slab.
- You want color or flake options and an easy-clean surface.
The trade-offs
- Coatings can be slippery when wet without flake or grip additive.
- A coating that’s installed badly will peel. Prep is everything.
- A damp slab needs a moisture-tolerant primer first [confirm system].

Coated floors around your home
The system changes with the space: more wear resistance in a garage, more comfort and color in a basement.

Epoxy, polyaspartic or a hybrid?
| Type | Strengths | Watch out for | Cure time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Epoxy | Strong bond, thick build, low cost | Can yellow in UV; slower cure | [X days] |
| Polyaspartic | Fast cure, UV-stable, flexible | Short working time; higher cost | [X hours–X days] |
| Epoxy base + polyaspartic top | Epoxy bond with a UV-stable, tough topcoat | More steps | [X days] |

We look at the slab, check for moisture and walk through colors and flake.
Grind & repair
Diamond grinding opens the slab; we fill cracks, pits and joints.
Base coat
The base coat goes down, with flake broadcast in if you chose it.
Topcoat
A clear, UV-stable topcoat adds wear and chemical resistance.

FAQ
Epoxy and polyaspartic questions
What’s the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?
Epoxy bonds strongly and builds thickness; polyaspartic cures faster and resists UV yellowing. Many floors use both: epoxy base, polyaspartic topcoat.
How long does an epoxy garage floor last?
A properly prepped, professionally installed floor lasts [X–Y years]. The topcoat may need refreshing sooner in heavy-use garages.
Can you coat a basement floor?
Yes. We test for moisture first and use a moisture-tolerant primer if the slab needs it.
Is an epoxy floor slippery?
It can be when wet. Flake and grip additives give the surface texture.
How much does an epoxy floor cost?
Most coated floors run [$X–$Y per square foot], depending on the system and prep. You get a written quote after the free estimate.
